Our CEO and founder, Dan Geraty, launches Clearent with a nimble team in his hometown of St. Louis. Their first project: build the Horizon Processing Engine, a back-end settlement platform from scratch.

To solve the problem of hard-to-read credit card processing statements and residuals, Clearent launches Compass Online Reporting Tool that provides unprecedented account transparency.

We became a certified processor with the nation's largest credit card companies in 2008 with MasterCard and Visa, 2009 with Discover and 2014 with American Express.
We established Next Day Funding to help our customers receive funds from their card payments faster with one of the latest cut-off times in the industry.

Quest Payment Gateway allows businesses to securely accept payments online, in-store or over the phone with an all-in-one gateway and merchant account.

We received EMV Certification for our Quest Payment Gateway and launched Quick Chip for EMV so businesses can process chip card payments faster than ever before. We also added more resources and partnerships with our acquisition of Payment Alliance International’s (PAI) Merchant Services Division. We now have more than 300 employees, 45,000 merchants and $14 billion in processing volume.
