Voice Authorization Instructions
If you are a merchant using a traditional POS terminal, follow these steps for voice authorizations:

  1. Dial 800.291.4840.
  2. Enter 12-digit MID (omit 6588).
  3. Enter bank ID.
  4. Key in merchant ZIP code.
  5. Enter the appropriate transaction code. Enter 1 for a sale or press # for more options.
  6. Enter cardholder account number.
  7. Enter card expiration date (MM/YY).
  8. Enter purchase amount without decimal (i.e., enter 2000 for $20.00), then press #.
  9. If amount is correct, press 9. If incorrect, press 6.
  10. Key transaction and authorization number into terminal.

If you are a merchant connected to Clearent’s Quest Payment Gateway, follow these steps:

  1. Dial 800.291.4840
  2. Enter 12-digit MID (omit 6588).
  3. Key in merchant ZIP code.
  4. Enter cardholder account number.
  5. Enter card expiration date (MM/YY).
  6. Enter purchase amount without decimal (i.e., enter 2000 for $20.00), then press #.
