Clearent Appoints Mike Valerio as Director of ISO Channel Management
Clayton, MO—February 24, 2009—Today Clearent announced the appointment of Mike Valerio to Clearent’s ISO team as the Director of ISO Channel Management.
Most recently an AVP of ISO Sales at NPC, Valerio comes to Clearent with nearly a decade of diverse and successful experience in the ISO market. In this capacity, he was responsible for business development and growth of current ISO customers. This included helping them understand and identify objections as well as working with them to overcome operational and procedural challenges that got in the way of their success.

Mike joins a team that includes Jeff Fortney, VP of ISO Sales. Fortney started with Clearent in November of 2006 with the goal of taking the term “partner” to a whole new level and of rewarding ISO and agent partners through both new merchant and organic growth. Fortney has been in the financial industry for over 30 years, spending the last 14 years in payments. During this time, he has worked closely with ISOs and agents of all sizes to help them grow and prosper—even during difficult times. Fortney has also served on several industry boards and is currently a contributing writer for The Green Sheet.
