Clearent is guided by a Board of Directors who has over 100 years of combined experience in the payment processing industry. They bring wisdom, resources and an entrepreneur’s enthusiasm for change and innovation.
Dan Geraty, Chief Executive Officer
Dan is Clearent’s founder and CEO. With over 15 years of senior executive experience in start-ups and established companies, Dan brings clarity, vision and leadership to Clearent. He was most recently the President and COO of Dynamicsoft, a venture-backed, network software and systems company that Dan helped grow from $0 to $30 million in revenue before selling the company to Cisco in 2004.
Norm Tice, Board Member
For over 40 years, Norm has been a leader in both the banking and credit card industries. Norm was CEO of several successful banking institutions from 1969 through 1996. He also served on the board of Boatmen’s Credit Card Bank, Boatmen’s Community Development Bank and MasterCard International. Norm served on the MasterCard board for 17 years, including three years as Chairman.
Ron Congemi, Board Member
Ron has been a leader and a respected voice in the industry for over 30 years. He was the founder and CEO of Star Systems, Inc. The STAR Network grew to become the nation’s largest ATM and PIN-secured debit network. Ron has held senior strategy positions with First Data, Visa International and Texas Commerce Bank. Ron has served on the board of directors of the Electronic Funds Transfer Association and the Philadelphia Federal Reserve’s Payments Advisory Council. He is a recipient of the Electronic Payments Association’s NACHA Lifetime Achievement Award.
Miles Kilburn, Board Member
Miles has over 15 years experience in the payments industry where he is an active investor. Starting his career at Skadden Arps, Miles then became CFO and General Counsel for the STAR® Network. Most recently, he was EVP of Strategy for Concord EFS prior to its $7 billion sale to First Data. Miles also serves as director for Global Cash Access, Inc.
Kevin Haar, Board Member
Kevin Haar, a software industry executive, brings a wealth of experience in successfully building companies. Prior to taking on his current role as President and CEO of Appistry, he spent 17 years at Rational Software where he helped drive the company’s transformation from a fledgling software start-up into an industry powerhouse with over $800 million in annual revenues.
David Truetzel, Board Member
David is an accomplished executive in the payments industry with more than 20 years experience in corporate management and finance with payment card, transaction processing, financial services and technology companies. Currently he is a principal with Augury Capital Partners. As a founder and general partner of Hela Capital Partners, LLC, he helped take the company public generating an IRR of 349% at the time of the IPO. He also served as the president and CEO of Transaction Transport Technologies, LLC (T3) and has held leadership positions with many successful ventures, such as First USA’s subsidiary and leading payment processor, Paymentech.
