Clearent has been awarded a 2016 Top Workplaces honor by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The Top Workplaces lists are based solely on the results of an employee feedback survey administered by WorkplaceDynamics, LLC, a leading research firm that specializes in organizational health and workplace improvement. Several aspects of workplace culture were measured, including alignment, execution, and connection, just to name a few.
“The Top Workplaces award is not a popularity contest. Oftentimes, people assume it’s all about fancy perks and benefits,” said Doug Claffey, CEO of WorkplaceDynamics. “But to be a Top Workplace, organizations must meet our strict standards for organizational health. And who better to ask about work life than the people who live the culture every day – the employees.”
Clearent has more than 200 employees, 50 of which it added last year. One of the recent new hires is Product Manager Juan Pablo Espinosa, a doctoral student at Washington University in St. Louis. “I joined Clearent because I liked its trajectory of innovation and growth within the payments industry. Now that I’ve had time to experience the work environment, I can see why it’s making waves in the industry. I feel completely comfortable proposing new ideas and projects knowing that my manager is always available to provide feedback and offer mentorship.”
Much of the company’s progress is due to the efficiency of its internal structure. It has a strong corporate headquarters in Clayton, Missouri, and a well-connected network of employees and partners across the country. In addition to a collaborative culture, Clearent also strives to provide robust employee benefits and create a fun and fulfilling workplace.
Jill Willard, Clearent’s Director of Gateway Software Development added, “After almost three years, Clearent continues to be a place where I grow and learn every single day. I get to work with amazing people who challenge and inspire me. This award is just evidence of what we see here every day.”
